Express hosting in Europe

Push your Express app and it runs in the EU as a normal Node.js server, not as functions. No Dockerfile, and no rewrite to fit a serverless model.

$ git push origin main

→ Faable · build started (Node.js detected)
→ npm start
→ Live at https://your-api.faable.link

What you get with Express on Faable

Your server, as you wrote it

Faable installs your dependencies, runs your build step if you have one and starts your app with npm start. Routes and middleware stay exactly as they are.

One rule to follow

Listen on 0.0.0.0 and on process.env.PORT. That is the whole contract with the platform.

Git or terminal

Link a repository so every push deploys, or run faable deploy from your laptop for an ad-hoc deploy.

Connect your GitHub repo, that's it

From repository to running app in minutes. Faable handles the build, the infrastructure, and everything in between.

01

Connect your GitHub repo

Link your repository in a couple of clicks. No Dockerfiles, no YAML, no servers to provision.

02

Push your code

Every push triggers an automatic build and deploy. Faable detects your stack and ships it for you.

03

You're live

Your app goes live with free SSL and autoscaling — ready for production from day zero.

Why Faable?

Express on Faable: common questions

Do I need a Dockerfile to host Express?

No. Faable detects Node.js from your package.json. Add a start script and listen on process.env.PORT. A Dockerfile is an option on Hobby and Pro.

Does Express run as serverless functions?

No. Your app runs as a server process, so it keeps working as it does on your laptop. It sleeps when idle and wakes on the next request.

Can I host a Express app for free?

Yes, with no credit card. The Free plan runs each app on 0.6 vCPU and 512 MB of memory, and the app sleeps after 30 minutes without requests and wakes on the next one. Hobby is 15 € a month.

Where is my app hosted?

In the EU, with GDPR compliance. Your app is served at <app>.faable.link with free SSL, and you can add your own domain on any plan.
